First Visit

Be sure to bring comfortable clothes to exercise in that allow easy access to your injured body part. Also be sure to bring copies of any medical records you feel might be helpful, such as copies of operative reports or results of imaging (X-ray, MRI, CAT Scan) studies.

Your first visit will initially begin with discussing the history of your injury and truly getting an understanding of what you think is going on and figuring out what YOUR goals are for therapy, not what insurance says our goals should be. Following this we will do an extensive movement assessment looking at the ENTIRE body. It is often found that pain/injuries come from movement faults not even related to where your injury is (such as knee pain occurring because of hip and core weakness). Lastly, we will end with some treatment possibly consisting of manual therapy followed with an exercise program that feels comfortable for you and will help you reach your goals as quickly as possible.
